IN REMEMBRANCE OF ROBERT G. CLARK

January 19, 1945 – July 15, 2025

40-Year Mascaro Employee; Founders’ Club Member

In 2007, company President, Pat Mascaro, established the “Founders’ Club,” giving special recognition to nine individuals who at that time had already worked for J. P. Mascaro & Sons for more than 20 years.  As of July 14, 2025, only two of the original nine Founders’ Club Members, Sam Augustine and Bob Clark, were still working for Mascaro.  With the sad passing of Bob Clark on July 15, 2025, that number is now one.

Bob Clark was a very special man.  For 40 years, many of them during the formational and difficult years of the company’s development and growth, Bob, as the Corporate Controller and Director of Finance, worked diligently and for long hours to help the company achieve the business success it now enjoys.  Bob was one of a very small “core group” of non-Mascaro individuals whose lifelong dedication and commitment to J. P. Mascaro & Sons was unmatched and who was critical to the “foundation” upon which the Mascaro company has been built.

However, Bob was much more than an “employee.”  He was a close confidante and advisor of company President, Pat Mascaro, and his brothers, on both business-related and personal matters, and he was always ready and willing to assist the extended family members when called upon.

Within the company itself, Bob was held in the highest regard by all.  No one ever had a harsh word to say about Bob Clark.  To say he was easygoing and likeable would be a gross understatement.  His personality and demeanor were such that he made everyone around him feel comfortable and welcome.  He never got openly angry with or critical of his fellow employees, and he went out of his way to help them in their jobs when needed.

Bob was truly a committed family man.  He had a deep love for his wife, Midge, who was together with him for 54 years, until her passing in 2021, and there is nothing he wouldn’t do for his daughter, Chrissy, and his son, Bob, Jr., who was accomplished in the sport of basketball, with Bob being his biggest fan.

When Bob reduced his work schedule a number of years ago and semi-retired to the custom home he built in Stone Harbor, New Jersey, he and Midge took great joy in the regular summertime visits of their children and grandchildren, Dallas, Tyler, Kyle, Troy and Alexa.  To Bob and Midge, Stone Harbor was their “happy place,” and it was in their Stone Harbor home that Bob passed away peacefully with family members present.

Once again, Bob is together with his loving wife, Midge.  That part just seems right.  But for us here at J. P. Mascaro & Sons, it does not make his leaving any less painful.  Rest in peace, Bob.
