M. B. Investments, a real estate partnership, owned by the principals of local waste removal company J. P. Mascaro & Sons, has contracted to expand its landholdings in Amity Township, Berks County. Pat Mascaro Sr., managing partner of M.B. Investments, disclosed the company has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase 201 acres located in the Planned Business Office and Industrial Zoning District. The property is contiguous to over 310 acres in Amity Township presently owned by the M.B. Group.
The Mascaro company owns a multitude of properties situated in both Amity and the bordering Township of Exeter. All of the properties are located in either the Highly Commercial District, Light Industrial or Planned Business Office and Industrial District. Mascaro indicated, we believe both Amity and Exeter Township will be significant growth areas in the future suitable for development. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
