MASCARO AWARDED SIX NEW MUNICIPAL RECYCLABLES PROCESSING CONTRACTS

J. P. Mascaro & Sons continues to grow its business in the processing of recyclable materials.  Recently, the municipalities of Exeter, Swarthmore, Tinicum, Bern, Lansdowne and Perkasie awarded J. P. Mascaro & Sons contracts for the collection, transportation and processing of their communities' recyclable materials.  The recyclables from these municipalities will be delivered to TotalRecycle, Inc., Mascaro's 85,000 square foot state-of-the-art, fully-automated processing facility in Exeter Township, where they will be processed and marketed to end-users.

While others are approaching recycling cautiously in today's depressed recycling market, J. P. Mascaro & Sons is actively increasing its commitment to recycling and growing its market share in that sector of the business, as evidenced by its many recent municipal recycling contract awards.

Speaking to the contract awards, Mascaro's Director of Sustainability, Joseph P. Mascaro, said, "We are excited about adding these new communities to our growing list of recycling customers and we are committed to remaining at the forefront of waste recycling and reuse."

J. P. Mascaro & Sons is a privately-owned, family operated waste service company, founded and headquartered in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, with over 50 years of experience in performing municipal contracts.  It owns and operates collection divisions, landfills, recycling facilities, transfer stations and composting facilities in Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic region and is recognized as a premier provider of waste collection and recycling services.

Founded by Joseph P. Mascaro, Sr., and through the efforts of his five sons – Pat, Joe, Mike, Frank and Lou Mascaro – the company has grown into the industry leader it is today, and a third generation of Mascaro family members will continue that growth into the future.

Company President, Pat Mascaro, said, "My brothers and I are proud of what our father started, what we have helped to grow over the last five decades, and what the next generation of Mascaros will carry forward.  Municipal contracts are a core component of our business operations, and, as always, our company strives to adhere to our father's Corporate Motto – "If It's Service, It's Us!"
