Local waste collection company J. P. Mascaro & Sons was recently awarded a 5-year recycling contract for accepting, processing and marketing of approximately 2,000 tons of recyclable materials from approximate 8,000 homes in Exeter Township, Berks County. Exeter Township’s recycling material will be delivered to Mascaro's 85,000 square foot, fully automated TotalRecycle facility, where the recycling material will be processed and marketed to end-users.
TotalRecycle has processed over 1.6 billion lbs. of curbside, commercial and industrial recyclables which have been processed to a multitude of reused and packaged materials since the doors opened in 2016. The Mascaro company, which operates TotalRecycle is fully engaged in the recycling industry with a current infastructure exceeding 150,000 square feet and is in the design stage of adding an additional 105,000 square foot building to compliment and support its recycling capability in Berks County.
