J.P. Mascaro crew pays a special visit to 11-year-old

When Nick’s special education teacher informed us that he uses our “red trucks with the blue elephants” as a motivator, we couldn’t resist his request for a Mascaro t-shirt. And what better way to deliver some paraphernalia than by the Mascaro truck itself! Our collection crew met an ecstatic Nick at his home Monday morning during their route with a bag of goodies and lots of excitement. Nick wanted to know everything about trash and recycling and our men happily fueled his brain with info! The eager 11 year old immediately put on his new sweatshirt and hat and went to work compacting some garbage after a short tutorial. His mom told us afterwards, “You have no idea the impact you have made on Nick. He is over the top proud to wear your company's jacket and he also loved operating the garbage truck. Thank you thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedule to see Nick. I wish there were more companies like you that would take the time for Children with Special Needs and whom have Autism. It makes a difference!” Well we were absolutely honored to meet Nick and felt privileged to be able to use our resources to give him a special day! We didn’t walk away empty handed either. We were lucky enough to receive a special, carefully constructed, handmade Thank You poster!
