MASCARO’S “RESPECT PROGRAM” REMAINS POPULAR IN AREA ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

NEW JERSEY UTILITIES AUTHORITY AWARDS MASCARO A $127 MILLION WASTE SERVICE CONTRACT

On February 10, 2015, area waste service company J. P. Mascaro & Sons was awarded a five-year, $127 million contract by a local New Jersey Utilities Authority, to transfer, transport and dispose of all waste generated in Morris County, New Jersey, which is in the area of 380,000 tons per year. The contract for that county, which has a population of about 800,000 people, is one of the largest waste contracts in the metropolitan New York/New Jersey region.  Mascaro’s bid of $127 million for five years bested the $132 million bid of industry giant Waste Management. BRIDGEPORT GOES GREEN – IMPLEMENTS BOROUGH-WIDE RECYCLING COLLECTION PROGRAM

Earlier this month, local solid waste company J. P. Mascaro & Sons’ trucks rolled through Bridgeport on a Friday morning collecting recyclables placed at the curb by Bridgeport residents for the first time ever! This 2015 Single Stream Residential Recycling Collection Program underway in the Borough was the result of the Borough’s recent Bid Solicitation.  According to Borough Manager, Don Curley, many residents were anxious to start a curbside recycling collection program.  Council was sensitive to the request and aware of the trends in solid waste management.  Accordingly, it was decided to include a curbside recycling option when we solicited bids for a new waste collection contract late last year. MASCARO WINS 45,000,000 MILLION OF MUNICIPAL CONTRACTS

J. P. Mascaro & Sons has secured 20 municipal contracts in the last quarter of 2014.  The total contracts are valued at approximately 45,000,000 dollars.  The work is centered around Mascaro’s various operating centers in the local regions.  The contracts include the Boroughs of Bridgeport, Rockledge, Pottstown, Emmaus, Nazareth, St. Lawrence, Archbald, Dalton, Wyoming, Laflin, and Alburtis and the Townships of Carbondale, Lower Providence, and Pittston.  MORE >>

MASCARO COMPLETES MILLER IMPROVEMENTS

M. B. Investments, a J. P. Mascaro & Sons affiliate, will officially take over the holdings of Marvin and Glenda Miller effective January 1, 2015. In an attempt to hit the ground running, Mascaro has already worked at the Miller properties during the past 90 days. Painting of buildings, sealing of roofs, paved new driveways and new iron gates and brick fencing have all been newly installed. In addition new signage has been placed on the buildings.  MORE >>
