GLASS: Food and beverage jars and bottles ONLY. CANS: Aluminum, steel, tin, or bimetal food and beverage containers ONLY. Rinse thoroughly. Remove all lids or tuck inside. Flatten whenever possible. No aluminum foil or food trays. No aluminum scraps. PLASTICS: #1 and #2 containers ONLY. Look for a #1 or #2 recycling symbol imprinted on the container bottom. #1 (PET), for example, soda bottles. #2 (HDPE), typically milk and water jugs. All containers must be rinsed. Labels may be left on. Remove all lids and neck bands whenever possible. Flatten whenever possible. No plastic bags, six-pack rings, plastic wrap, bubble packaging, foam packaging or food trays will be accepted. NEWSPAPERS & JUNK MAIL: Bundle and tie securely or put in a brown paper bag. Place paper items next to recycling container, not in container. No plastic delivery bags. Magazines, junk mail and home office paper may be put out with the newspapers. Recyclables do not have to be sorted. They can be commingled and put into the same container. Your recycling container should be an open-topped bin labeled RECYCLABLES. The container must be open-top or without a lid in order for our workers to recognize it. Care should be taken to avoid any glass breakage. Flatten items (except glass), if possible. |
